HPV
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infection. According to studies, 80% of the sexually active population (men and women) will come into contact with this virus at least once in their lifetime. Doctor Rosalia Cubal will explain in detail the follow-up required in your particular case.

Uterine cervix
Screening for cervical cancer is carried out using a PAP test (cytology). If the result is altered, a thorough examination of the cervix is required. This is a painless gynecological examination using magnification to better visualize the cervix. Generally, simple monitoring every 6 months is required, but if suspicious lesions are detected, a cervical biopsy must be performed.
Vagina
Human papillomaviruses (HPV) are also responsible for vaginal pathologies.
For this reason, it must be carefully examined during colposcopy.
